We are total zooaholics.   I counted up one day and found that we have visited 58 zoos around the world and in this country.   When we homeschooled the kids, we always called it a science field trip. To this day when we visit a zoo, we look for the one animal we have never seen before.   And I must say, as the years go by... it's getting harder to find that one animal.   But you know what?   The fun is in the searching.   In this picture, Jonathon and I take some time out to make a few of those memories I mentioned earlier.   This was taken in the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha Nebraska.   They have a huge atrium that is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.   Definitely one of the best zoos around, I urge you to go visit.

One of the best shows ever, we went and saw Phantom of the Opera in Tampa this last year.   It had been postponed because of the hurricanes in 2004. While I wasn't all that impressed with the show, the music is always great.  But if you want to see a great movie, get the 2004 version with Gerald Butler (Look out...hottie alert!).  My daughter and I really enjoyed it, and even though some of the critics panned it, we both just thought it was wonderful.  And the upside were those times that Mr. Butler graced the screen

The diving in Grand Cayman is some of the best in the world.  We went to the famous Stingray City, and I got up close and personal with a stingray about the same size as me!   I even have a bite mark on my hand to prove it!

Jonathon and I both work at Disneyworld and while it may not be the happiest place to work, it is definitely one of the best places to visit. We spend a lot of time just enjoying the ambiance of all the parks.  My favorite ride is Splash Mountain, at Magic Kingdom but our favorite overall park is Epcot Center.   We enjoy eating out, and our goal is to try each of the restaurants in the World Showcase.  They are all so good, I can't decide which I like best.  If you like shows, one of the best is The Lion King at the Animal Kingdom.   Broadway quality show in a theme park.   Only at Disney!

When Jonathon and I were first married, we were so poor, we could barely afford to buy wedding rings.   When he was finally able to buy me an engagement ring, it was a very special day for me.   He gave it to me in a crowded restaurant, and thereby got a +10 on the Ahhh scale.   I cried, and Jonathon was treated to a kiss that made his ears smoke.

Check back for more pictures.  I take a lot of them, and I will add them as I get them...  If you have a question about anything you see here, please email me.  I'll do my best to answer.

When we moved to Florida, we just had to stop and take a look at the world famous Okefenokee Swamp.  It was in the fall, but you couldn't tell by the weather.   Swamp boat rides, alligators laying in the sun, some great set ups of old homesteads, and the visitors center, add up to a great place to spend some time.  If you are ever in the area, make sure you drop by and visit.      Georgia is a great state. What could be better than alligators and peaches?

One of my favorite places on the planet is the ocean.  No matter whether it's the Atlantic, the Pacific, or the Caribbean, I LOVE IT!  It is my hope to someday have a beach house, and spend my days writing my books while staring out at the ocean.  I can't imagine a better place to dream and let my imagination soar.  This bit of heaven was taken just outside of Daytona Beach Florida, when Jon and I went to visit, and check out the annual Biketoberfest.

One of the best times we've ever had was on the Carnival Fun Ship Miracle.  We went to the Western  Caribbean  and visited Grand Cayman, Belize, Costa Maya, and Cozumel.  And the ship itself was a blast.   You could either do nothing, and just sunbathe, or you could spend every waking minute at some program the cruise director had dreamed up.  Their vacations aren't that spendy either.  If you go, eat in the dining room.  The staff is outstanding, and a lot of fun.   Plus, see what they leave you on your bed every night.  It's more than chocolate!
We ended the cruise as we do every vacation, with a kiss.  It has become a tradition, and we have pictures, to prove it.  I can't wait to kiss my man all over the globe.   Look out for us!

We love the wild, and when we visited Glacier National Park in Montana, we were awed by the beauty of the mountains.  Being a country girl, I felt right at home. As a teenager I went on my dreamwalk in a place very much like this gorgeous area, so I am very comfortable alone in the woods.  But it's fun being with your sweetie too! This picture was taken on the path of the Trail of the Cedars, and it is a beautiful walk, just inside the park.   Another must see drive is The Road to the Sun.   But if you are afraid of heights, you may want to have a beer or two before you take the trip!

Our latest adventure was a research trip to St. Augustine where I had to gather info on the downtown area for an upcoming book.   We wandered around for two days absorbing the wonderful atmosphere, and I got a great deal of information of this historical town.   It's one of my favorite places in Florida and I think it's a great place to visit.  We went on one of the famous ghost tours and had a great time.   See the Imagine Your Dreams photo page for more info on that.   With my empathic gift, I could sense the spirits around me, but the only visual sightings we had, was an odd photo and a juke box moving when it wasn't on.
